Crushing

Last year I posted some of my crushes here... the male ones. Yes, I have lesbian tendencies... but only for extremely beautiful women. Doesn't everybody? HahahaÜ This by the way is arranged in no particular order.

Catherine Zeta-Jones. Super hottie, lalo na in her Zorro and Entrapment days. Nowadays she always looks, well, pregnant. Thank you, Michael Douglas.

Angelina Jolie. A very obvious choice. Tanginang nguso naman kasi yan, and that freakin body. Not to mention the fact that she owns Brad Pitt.

Song Hye Kyo. If you don't watch Koreanovelas, you probably can't relate to this crush. She was Jenny in the first Endless Love series, the one GMA-7 named "Autumn in My Heart." What a crappy title. She was also in Full House as Justin with that singer dude Rain. She was cute in Full House, but man alive was she beautiful in Endless Love.

Jeon Ji Hyun. She was that goofy Gyun-woo's Sassy Girl... I think she'd be Asia's number one calendar girl, if there was one. Super lean body, chinita features, good height... triple threat, haha. Panalo.

Kristin Kreuk. Pati si Superman na-in love sa kanya. Yun na.

For those of you who are wondering, malapit na matapos ang thesis ko... sana. Haha. Blog na lang ng blog.

Wala akong magawa.

Dito ko natutunan na never get your hair cut one day before they take the yearbook pictures.

I actually like this better than my college grad pic. Mukhang inosenteng-inosente pa 'ko dito e. Anyway this didn't make it to Memoirs 2000 because I failed to specify that this was the picture I wanted to be put in the yearbook. Iba yung nilagay nila, yung may tikwas yung buhok ko. Kaya dito ko na lang ilalagay, hah.

The grad pic I actually wanted to put in Aegis 2004. Again, another picture was put instead of this because I didn't know that the black-and-white picture you order from them is the one they put. Olats.

Ito naman ang katarantaduhan that is my creative pic. It was a spur of the moment thing, posing like this, 'cause I never really planned what my "look" should be. Many people don't even get what I'm doing in this picture. Mga hangal. Haha. Anyway it could have been more creative. Hay naku. Laging nasa huli ang pagsisisi.

Ayan, maglulunch na muna ko. So much progress! Haha.Ü

ADMU RELEASES AEGIS 2006 ONE YEAR EARLY; STUDENT BODY PUZZLED

Or, Aegis 2004 - "Gnomon," a title which makes me think of a band of little dwarves - is released more than a year after graduation, and my batchmates are pissed.

I'll be short and sweet on the infamous tardiness of the said yearbook, as this topic has already been exhaustively and tirelessly discussed, run over with a fine-toothed comb, and bitched about and defended more times in the batch e-group than I can possibly take. I'm suing somebody about this. Who the fuck is the atenista2004 moderator? He-LLO, moderation? Anyhoo, my two cents on the matter is, getting it this late, and incomplete at that (where's the friggin' CD?), is largely... irritating. It bites. It sucks whole black holes. But I'm not going to threaten the Aegis 2004 team to "ready themselves for a civil case," 'cause where would I fit in all the hearings? Right now I'm studying for the November ECE board exams on MWF mornings, finishing my doctoral dissertation (ha, ha) on MWF afternoons, explaining the difference between the negative sign and the minus sign to bewildered highschoolers (harder than it sounds) on MWF evenings, and trying to raise Utoy in between all of it. So, you know, filing civil cases over late yearbooks is pretty much out of the question. Fuck anyone who asks.

I actually finished going over the yearbook on Saturday night. I wish it had seven volumes instead of five (because isn't seven the most powerfully magical number?) but I'm afraid it'd have been heavier than me if it did.

Anyway, going over the yearbook (gag) memories, I rediscovered the unique pleasure derived from an Ateneo education - the wider selection of very hot guys. Oh my gawd, I know it's so late, but Gaston Xavier Bagsit, hindi kita kilala pero I LOVE YOU!!! Hahaha. Other notable pages in the yearbook containing some guys with VERY HIGH cuteness factors (Trust me, I have very good taste.): page 92, vol. 2 (some Edilberto guy), page 389, vol. 4 (Marco so-and-so), and page 316, vol. 4 (the aforementioned God, este Gus pala). I don't know if you have this in your copy too, but in page 135, vol. 2, there's a guy who looks like he has some very unfortunate sores all over his face. Must be the bad quality of the paper. Maybe he should file the civil case. There are some gwapo guys in pages 175 and 189 of vol. 3, but I suspect more guys go after them than girls. Undeniably pogi, though.

A real downer, this is - my English class boyfriend (I wish) isn't in the yearbook. He should've been in page 404 of vol. 2, or at least in the vol. 5 picture of the org he is only the president of, but he's not. WHAT THE FUCK? HE'S ONLY THE BOBBY BENEDICTO, YOU INCOMPETENT, LAZY ASS AEGIS FREAKS! Fer cryin' out loud. (Although I greatly suspect he did this on purpose, because he knows many girls are going to be looking for him. Harrumph.)

There was a page in the yearbook - a picture, really - that literally took my breath away when I saw it. It shouldn't have, but it did, and I guess I'll have to live with that. Huh.

As it was largely unrecognized, I'd now like to take credit for writing the ECE batch write-up. I know it was kinda simplistic and obviously rushed and it didn't really capture the depth our collective relationships achieved in our fifth year, but it was the best I could do for one day's notice. If you think you could have done better, then you should have submitted a write-up, you arrogant jerk.

I'm getting so much done on my thesis today. Matutuwa sina Sir Bong nito. Haha.

All in all, Gnomon did to me what yearbooks inevitably do - bring back memories of days past which I will hopelessly and relentlessly relive with you over bottles of God knows what, belly laughing over half-forgotten snippets of life as it happened to us in five glorious years we can never have again but will fondly, half-smilingly, always remember as the best years of our lives; and then I'll wipe back a tear - and you will, too - for all the good and the bad, the highs and the lows, the loves and the lost, the bonds forged and the bonds broken, and then we'll smile, and thank God that in this universe of ambiguity, we found certainty and truth in those years together.

Okay, enough progress for today.

CTC 208 Forever.

Guess where I am. Nyahaha.

Maybe, on a subconscious level, masyado kong minahal ang CTC 208 kaya hindi ko tinapos ang thesis ko on time para andito pa rin ako, more than a year later, with people a full batch lower, working on my thesis. Or not. As I've said many times before, the greatest irony of my situation is that I've never flunked a subject, never been held back by a basic subject, never had any kind of problem in my academic schedule at all... pero andito 'ko ngayon. Hijo de puta.

Right now the basketball guys (Dado, Edok, King, Rocky, etc.) are playing tong-its and basically enjoying their late night in the lab while I am here with Martin's laptop, doing my thesis. (Blogging, that is. That's for you, Neil.) What I wouldn't give to have all you guys back here, playing DoTA or Bejeweled or Chicken Invaders... complete with delivered McDonald's or Rice in a Box or pancit malabon in a bilao. Tigas.

Is it just me, or is the lower batch too testosteroney? Pag naglalaro sila or kumakain or basically just hanging out, it's like you have to have a pair of balls to get in. Hindi ka cool otherwise. I mean, I see their girls in 208, pero hindi katulad nung batch natin na pag pupunta kung saanman parang freshman block, kasama halos lahat. Girl power naman dyan. Pero in fairness friendly naman sila... mostly. (Pero di kami close.) Favorite kong katong-its si King. Eto magandang quotable quote habang naglalaro kami nung Wednesday:

Random topic of discussion
JP: (to Miko) "Sige chuchupain kita pag nangyari yun."
Jamie: "JP di kita macheer masyado nung game, nahihiya ako kay **** e."
JP: "Si ****? Sampalin ko yun e."
Dado: "JP bakit pag lalake gusto mong chupain, tas pag babae gusto mong sampalin?"

Taena I dedicate my thesis to you guys. Incidentally my thesis is based on a very complicated and technical doctoral dissertation so that means something. Mahal ko kayo.

So yun muna. "Because the body needs certain poisons to operate." Uluuuuul.

As in nagagalit talaga 'ko. Many would attest to the fact that I am capable of taking a lot of shit from people - nasubukan mo na bang hiritan nina Neil (ang undisputed hari ng hiritan), Martin (ang kupal na bumabawi sa charm), Cholo (kupal lang talaga), at Tens (simpleng manggago) sunod-sunod, sabay-sabay? - and most days it's okay with me, 'cause I know deep, deep, deep down, ilalaban ako ng sapakan ng mga gagong 'yon kung kailangan. They're the brothers I never, ever wanted to have. Of course there was the time I walked out on them dahil nabad trip ako, but that was just one time.

They probably don't read my blog because they're too brain dead to read and too preoccupied sa lahat ng kacoolan nila, but anyways I just wanted to say.
