One Week

Last Saturday night I was at the Araneta Coliseum with six of my cousins, all of us toting free tickets (courtesy of Ate Marianne) to the Rivermaya-Kitchie Nadal concert. I wasn't really excited, as I'm not a big fan of either... I'm more of a Bamboo's Rivemaya fan. Anyway free tickets mean Upper Box B seats - not that great, but passable - and we were entertained with Kitchie's Ellipse cologne commercial, which I found hysterical. Omyged. Is everybody really selling out these days? Barbie singing "One good day coming up" and "Para, cellphone, may proteksyon..." to the tune of "Limang Dipang Tao" was enough, and now we have Kitchie saying "Wag mong sasabihin a - pero kikay din ako!" to sell cologne?? Huh. But I'm not writing about that today.

The highlight of the night for me - you would think it was Rico Blanco strutting and moonwalking across the stage, which he actually did, but you'd be wrong - was the opening act I was not at all expecting. Yes, Martin, it was Spongecola. Hahaha.Ü They opened with "Lunes" and then introduced the next song with "Sino senti dito? Eto senti 'to. Special 'to - hindi namin 'to mashado tinutugtog e." It was "Crazy for You." Funny guy pala yung vocalist e. Anyway they then went into "KLSP" and I was on the edge of my seat when they started to play their last song... baka kase hindi tugtugin yung inaantay ko e. And then they did. Save the best for last pala. Hahaha. Yes, Dulce, it was "Jeepney."

After the concert we went to this bar called "El Caballero" and downed a few brewskys, singing along to the videoke machine. My mom called in the middle of all of it, screaming for my whereabouts til my ears bled, and told me to sleep over my cousins' house na lang as she could not stay up for me any longer. Unfortunately I didn't feel like it, so I stayed out until 2 in the morning and prayed she'd let me in the house when I got home. She did anyways. Sabi ko na love ako nun e. So it was a pretty fun night.

Tonight, however, is a different Saturday night. I'd write about it now, but my mom's probably screaming for my whereabouts again. Later.

You will notice that he looks like my older sister Marie, and that is because she is our pet too.

Summer na... and I'm SOO bored

Ngayon lang ulit ako magboblog after... matagal na. In that span of time I watched Spiderman at least 30 times, swam an hour at Splash Island for 250 pesos, watched Meteor Garden I again, and successfully recompiled the FreeBSD 4.3 kernel after integration with TCP Veno. Masaya ako at may progress naman ang thesis ko.Ü

Meanwhile, ito ang latest LSS ko... isang napakagandang kanta.
