Wala lang.

Kausap ko si Sweet sa telepono kagabi, at na-realize ko bigla na isa sa mga pinakamalaki kong pet peeves ay pag hinihiritan ako ng isang taong hindi ko naman ka-close. As in nagagalit talaga 'ko. Many would attest to the fact that I am capable of taking a lot of shit from people - nasubukan mo na bang hiritan nina Neil (ang undisputed hari ng hiritan), Martin (ang kupal na bumabawi sa charm), Cholo (kupal lang talaga), at Tens (simpleng manggago) sunod-sunod, sabay-sabay? - and most days it's okay with me, 'cause I know deep, deep, deep down, ilalaban ako ng sapakan ng mga gagong 'yon kung kailangan. They're the brothers I never, ever wanted to have. Of course there was the time I walked out on them dahil nabad trip ako, but that was just one time. Mahal ko yung mga yun.

Pero meron namang mga taong hindi ko mahal na hinihiritan ko. They probably don't read my blog because they're too brain dead to read and too preoccupied sa lahat ng kacoolan nila, but anyways I just wanted to say.

English Journal, Post Number 2

This will be a quick read, as Neil won't stop teasing me about putting more effort into my blog than on my never-ending thesis on TCP Veno.

The Fairly Oddparents is a show on Nickolodeon which I watch semi-regularly with Utoy. Here's the show's description (from TV.com):

The Fairly OddParents is a totally out-of-this-world cartoon about a 10-year old boy named Timmy... whose life isn't exactly normal. He has Fairy Godparents by the name of Cosmo and Wanda, who grant Timmy's wishes. Of course, these fairies aren't exactly geniuses.

The fact that they aren't geniuses makes the show so watchable. Especially Cosmo, who in my opinion is one of the funniest characters on TV. (Coming from a TV geek like me, that's saying something.) Anyway I was watching it the other day with Utoy, and the episode ("Abra Catastrophe") involved Wanda getting kidnapped. After she was gone, something Cosmo said stuck in my head. It was sweet and funny at the same time (my favorite combination), and without further introduction, this is it:

Cosmo, to Timmy: "We've got to get her back! I love her. I'm useless without her. I can't even clean my ears without her. (conjures giant cotton bud and tries to clean his ear; fails) See? (starts crying) My ear's not clean!!!"

Too fucking cute. Haha.Ü

English Journal

Way back in freshman year, our English teacher Gad gave us a project, and it was to create a journal to chronicle at least one poetic thing that we observed every other day. Basically I had to write about something poetic around three times a week. It was a pretty cool project, and I wish I could find the two notebooks I wrote in, but oh my god I bet I'll laugh my ass off when I read it again. I get different reactions when people read it. Marie loves those notebooks, I dunno why. Phoebe laughed while reading it. My highschool friends drew and wrote all over it. It was great.

Anyway I'm going to try and do that again in this blog, only with less cheese. This is English Journal 2005, Post Number 1:

This is an excerpt from an old "Will and Grace" episode I watched the other day, and it was the sweetest thing I've ever seen happen between a girl and a gay guy. Also, I didn't know Eric McCormack (the guy who plays Will) could sing and play the piano. In this episode, Grace gets paranoid after bumping into this woman (Heidi) and finding out that the Heidi and her gay guy roommate (Charlie) neither live with each other or even talk to each other anymore. Realizing that that could happen to her and Will in the future, she tries to prevent it from happening by coercing Will into buying a piano together and spending all their time together. Naturally Will gets suffocated, and finally things explode in...

"An Old-Fashioned Piano Party"

Episode #3.18

GRACE: Everybody! Will really wants to play the piano, but he's a little shy. Maybe you can give him a little help, ok?

MR. ZAMIR: [CLAPPING] Yeah!

LARRY: [CLAPPING] Yeah!

WILL: No! No! I don't want to play the stupid piano.

MR. ZAMIR: Come on, Will. Your wife went through a lot of trouble. Come on. Play.

WILL: She's not--

[GRACE BRINGS OUT A TRAY OF ROOT BEEF FLOATS.]

GRACE: Ok, everybody, root beer floats. Come and get it. Will?

WILL: No. I'm getting out of here. Where the hell are my keys?

GRACE: What is your problem? Why are you totally bailing out on this piano?

WILL: I'm not! What, do I have to play it every second?

GRACE: Yes, you do. Now, sit your ass on the bench of the piano that we bought together, sip your root beer float, and have some friggin' fun!

JACK: Uh, Grace--

GRACE: What?!

WILL: There they are.

[WILL BENDS DOWN AND AS HE STANDS UP, HE KNOCKS THE TRAY OF ROOT BEER FLOATS AND THEY SPILL ALL OVER THE PIANO.]

GRACE: [GASPING] Aah!

JACK: I was gonna say, "be careful."

GRACE: Oh, my God! Oh, my God!

MR. ZAMIR: Should we go?

GRACE: Look what you did! You ruined it! You ruined everything!

LARRY: We should go.

[KAREN, LARRY, MR. ZAMIR, AND JACK QUICKLY EXIT.]

WILL: I-- Grace, I'm sorry, but it's just a piano.

GRACE: No, it's not. It's more than that, but you just don't realize it, so just forget it! Just go! Just move to San Francisco and go scuba diving for cute guys in underpants, 'cause obviously, there's just nothing keeping you here!

[THE KEYS PLAY AS GRACE CLEANS THE PIANO.]

WILL: Have you been gargling with bong water?

GRACE: We're drifting apart, Will. People do. It happened to Heidi and Charlie. They don't even talk anymore.

WILL: Oh, my god! Is that what this is all about? Grace, we are always going to be in each other's lives.

GRACE: How do you know that? Huh? Things change. I mean, you're gonna get a boyfriend. I'm gonna get a boyfriend.

WILL: Hopefully not the same boyfriend.

GRACE: We're not a couple. We're not married. We don't have kids. What do we have to keep us together?

WILL: Love. [SINGING AND PLAYING THE PIANO] Love will keep us together.

GRACE: Don't do that. You know, there are a million things that could pull us in a million different directions.

WILL: [SINGING] Think of me, babe, whenever.

GRACE: And then we'll end up talking less and less.

WILL: [SINGING] Some sweet-talkin' guy comes along, singin' a song

GRACE: Don't do this. We're talking about our friendship here.

WILL: [SINGING] Don't mess around. You've just gotta be strong.

GRACE: You know what? Doing this stupid song is not gonna take away my concerns, ok?

WILL: [SINGING] Just stop.

GRACE: Stop!

WILL: [SINGING] 'Cause I really love you. Stop.

GRACE: [WHINING] Stop.

WILL: [SINGING] I've been thinkin' of you.

WILL AND GRACE: [SINGING] Look in my heart and let love keep us together.

WILL: Well, I must say, this is the best old-fashioned piano party I've ever been to.

If you don't know the song here's a link to refresh your memory. Wala lang. I went "Aaaaw..." when Will started singing. Ang kyut men, nabakla ako. Haha. I could actually relate a little, as I had Lana as my roommate in the s2dio for a year.

Yes it's cheesy, but I really do hope love keeps us together too. Same goes for all you guys. Yun lang.Ü

It's a Tuesday and why am I not babysitting?

Told my mom last night that Lana Lang and I are going to Gilmore today to scrounge about for useless old wireless LAN cards for our thesis, and she went, "So wala akong day off???" "Wala," I told her. Ako ang meron. Harharhar.

Incidentally I made a Friendster account for my adorable, future drug pusher nephew Utoy, so add him up please.
Email: jme.zamz@gmail.com
Full Name: Utoy Hermoso

Hitched a ride to school today with my mom's kabarkada Tita Nita ("Nababarkada ang nanay ko e"), who was driving her great-nephew Miggy to Ateneo. He's in prep and speaks straight English. He messes up sometimes, but I keep my mouth shut. In fairness to me I'm improving a.Ü

Miggy: "Tita Nitz what's her name?"
Tita Nita: "Jamie." (pronounces it Jem-mie)
Miggy: "Really, she's a gem? I think I'm going to sell her. For a million bucks! I'm going to be rich!"

Wala, natawa lang ako e. Sige babay muna, I have a date with a gay guy.
